Challenging behaviour in primary and secondary school and possible solutions

This work focuses on the risky behaviour of students aged 11 - 15 in a selected elementary school. The aim of this work is to find out the level of knowledge of teachers about the prevalence of risky behaviour at their school, possible solutions to this behaviour, and the awareness about institutes that might help with their resolutions. This thesis has two parts, a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, ADHD, defence mechanisms, and general principals of teacher to student interactions are discussed. Furthermore, this work focuses on selected types of risky behaviour and their possible solutions that can be carried out by the school. The research part of this thesis consists of a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire which is filled in by the educators in the elementary school. This questionnaire is further discussed in an interview with a school prevention specialist. The purpose of the research was to assess the frequency of occurrence of each type of risky behaviour, the awareness of teachers about possible solutions, and the solutions the teachers actually use for their resolutions. Prevention of specific behavioral and learning disorders in pre-schoolage

This bachelor thesis deals with prevention of specific behavioural and learning disorders in preschool children. The bachelor thesis is aimed to find out the awareness and experience of parents about preventive measures for preschool children and the impacts of implemented preventive measures. The theoretical part of thesis describes the issues of prevention, specific behavioural disorders and specific learning disabilities. The work also deals with the early detection of the disorder, cooperation, communication between involved parties. The empirical part consists of mixed research - the result of the questionnaire, a semi-structured interview with a parent, a psychologist, a special ed teacher/speech therapist, and case study. The first research technique was a questionnaire, which was focused on finding out the awareness and experience of parents about preventive measures, their satisfaction with the setting, and their implementation. Furthermore, three case studies were prepared, which showed us the impact of implemented preventive measures, views, and attitudes of parents and experts on the issue. The diploma thesis deals with the problems of nutrition of pupils of the second grade of primary school and the attitude of teachers who work with these pupils. Specifically, they are the pupils of a primary school focusing on the education of pupils with various special educational needs, in particular, with specific learning disabilities and associated disorders. The aim of this thesis is to explore the situation in the field of nourishment together with pupils' knowledge and attitudes of teachers to nourishment. The knowledge and attitudes to the nutrition are related to pupils of the second level of primary school, composition of diet and use of caffeine, cola and energy drinks. The theoretical part of the thesis is structured into two chapters. The first chapter deals with the problems of specific learning disabilities and behavior disorders in inclusive education, the second chapter deals with the issue of nutrition and health. The presented bachelor thesis called "Learning and Behavioral Disabilities in high school" is divided into two main parts. The first - theoretical - part of the work describes the period of adolescence, the position of handicapped people within the society, the difference between integration and inclusion, and also includes the typolo-gy of learning and behavioral disabilities. The practical part of the work is represented by conversations made with the students of high schools and vocational schools who suffer from learning and behavioral disabilities.
Implementation of support measures for pupils with specific behavioral disorders in primary schools

The diploma thesis is focused on providing support to pupils with specific behavioral disorders at ordinary primary schools. Its aim is to find out how support is provided to pupils with specific behavioral disorders at ordinary elementary schools, what are the potentialities for providing optimal support to these pupils and suggest possible measures and procedures to improve them. The thesis consists of theoretical and research part. The theoretical part characterizes specific behavioral disorders, education and support for pupils with these disorders. The research part of the thesis focuses on the implementation of support measures for pupils with specific behavioral disorders at selected elementary schools. This problem is solved in two levels. The first plane is qualitative, it is a case study of the school (author's workplace). The basis for the preparation of case report are interviews with school special pedagogues and unstructured observations. The second part is aimed at supporting pupils with specific behavioral disorders on a wider scale. The basis for the data is the questionnaire survey, which was attended by teachers and teacher assistants from other schools.
